Fall is the perfect time to go hiking in the foothills

Foothills

Although it has been a very hot September, the forecast shows the weather cooling off a bit. Take advantage of the weather by getting up early and enjoying a beautiful morning hike in our foothills.
We like to have at least one adventure a week. On Saturday, my group of friends decided on a two-hour hike. We rounded up the dogs, left the teenagers sleeping (it’s safer that way on an early Saturday morning), and headed for the hills. There are many different trails available in the foothills. If you don’t have a favorite or want to explore additional hikes, you can visit the Boise Ridge To Rivers site for great ideas on hikes of all kinds: http://ridgetorivers.cityofboise.org/HikesAndRides/index.aspx. Explore your options and try different hikes that suit your ability. We like to go on the dog friendly trails so our canine companions get their exercise too!
