Things to do in April!

April Events

During the month of April the Treasure Valley will play host to many awesome events. So, strap in and get ready to have some fun!

ERA Pro Rodeo

April 1st and 2nd

Ford Idaho Center, Nampa

Rodeos are a core part of western history and culture and they continue to be events for communities to rally around. The ERA (Elite Rodeo Athletes) Pro Rodeo is a world class event that offers exciting action in a fun western atmosphere. It is a great way to enjoy the beauties of the old west without having to travel that far from home.

This traveling event is making its way through the west with stops in places like Redmond, Oregon; Salt Lake City, Utah; and, of course, Nampa, Idaho. While here they will hold several different competitions like Team Roping, Saddle Bronc, Barrel Racing, Bull Riding, and so forth. It is a two day event like none other with stakes, and payouts, that are as high as ever.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance

April 6th

Boise Main Library

12:30pm to 4 pm

Taxes can be a pain, and can put a bit of a damper on your plans for springtime. However, with this event at the Boise Public Library, you can get your precious time back. On Wednesday the 6th of April, at the Boise Main Library off of Capital Boulevard and River Street, you get help filing you 2015 taxes from volunteers from Boise State. These awesome volunteers are trained and taught on all the current laws and regulations so that you can put your mind at ease about your taxes. (They can only help with your taxes if you make less than $62,000)

For more information about what to bring and what you can expect, call the Boise Library at (208) 972-8200.
