February Activities around Boise
Well, 2019 is in full swing and the events keep coming! Whether you like theater, exercise or ethnic cuisine, February is going to be your month. Below are 6 events that are going to be great for your calendar this February.
February 9th, 7:30 PM: Morrison Center
Fans of the arts will love this live performance of the Nutcracker by Ballet Idaho. Featuring a professional cast of some of Idaho’s best dances and artists, this ballet is sure to have you begging for more before the curtain even closes. Even though the Nutcracker is usually performed in December, it is a wonderful story any time of year. Be sure to look for tickets on the Morrison Center Eventbrite page. February 16th : 10:00 AM. February 17th: 4:00 PM: World Center for Birds of Prey
One of the most amazing things about Idaho is its amazing population of birds of prey. These amazing animals are beautiful, intelligent and graceful. There is just something about them that makes for a fascinating and educational afternoon. If this interests you, be sure to check out the World Center for Birds of Prey Family Field Trip Weekend! February 17th: 1:00 AM to 6:30 AM. Boise Centre on the Grove
Come one, come all to the Masquerade Ball! Starting at 1:00 AM at the Boise Center on the Grove is the most amazing Valentines dance in the city. This is the ninth year in a row they have held this event so it is bound to be pretty amazing. The event includes music, dinner, dancing, cocktails and so much more. While this may be a great time, that isn’t all the good that will come out of it. All the proceeds of the Masquerade will go to St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital.
February 19th: 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM
Calling all writers! If you like to write, or have dabbled with the idea of writing, then you might be interested in going to the February Literary Lunch for the Idaho Writers Guild. The Idaho Writer’s Guild meets every 3rd Tuesday of the month, and this month they will be meeting to discuss fiction genres, genre-straddling, and so much more. It is bound to be a fun time and will definitely be delicious.
February 21st: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. JUMP
Japanese food is some of the most delicious cuisines you can find, and some of the best Japanese cuisine chefs in the area are doing an amazing event called Hiroshimayaki 101 where you will learn the tips and tricks to create this amazing piece of Japanese culinary perfection. The event is for ages 12 and up and registration must be done before the 19th of February. Be sure to check out the website and get tickets now!
February 23rd: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Death Proof Coffee
B-Movie Improve Comedy Show is bound to be a wonderful event. Improv comedy is some of the funniest off-the-cuff comedy you can find. B-Movie Improv Comedy Show will star some amazing comedians from our area including TV stars and YouTube personalities.
