Mauritius— A Dramatic Comedy

Stage Coach Theatre, April 14th through 29th on various days

For those of you who are excited for spring theater performances, then look no further than the Stage Coach Theatre off of Emerald Road in Boise. Coming in April this beloved Boise treasure presents “Mauritius”— a Dramatic Comedy. Here is an excerpt from the description of the play from its EventBrite.com page:

“After their mother’s death, two estranged half-sisters discover a book of rare stamps that may include the crown jewel for collectors. One sister tries to collect on the windfall, while the other resists for sentimental reasons. In this gripping tale, a seemingly simple sale becomes dangerous when three seedy, high-stakes collectors enter the sisters’ world.”

A T-Rex Names Sue

Discovery Center of Idaho, Throughout the Month of April

If you like science and discovery of any kind, then you really need to head down to the Discovery Center during the month of April to see the most complete T-Rex skeleton ever to be found! This relic of years past was dug up in South Dakota by archeologists working in and around the Black Mountains. The archeologist that found the dinosaur originally is named Susan, so the group thought it best to name the T-Rex after her, hence why the skeleton’s name is Sue.

To date it is still the most complete T-Rex skeleton to be found so it is easily one of the most important and profound scientific finds in geological and archeological history. To fully appreciate how special this dinosaur is however, you have to see it for your own eyes. She is a massive 40 foot long skeleton that towers 12 feet in the air above guests to the Discovery center. Before you go though, it is advised, however that you take some time to watch the documentary about Sue’s discovery and history since leaving the ground. It is a fascinating documentary called “Dinosaur 13” which can be found on Netflix and through several other mediums. It really is a must watch.
