July Activities around Boise

July Events

Boise and the surrounding Treasure Valley are always hopping with endless amounts of activities, and the summer months are no different. Only now, instead of only having community events to go to, you can now enjoy Idaho’s many natural attractions too. However, if you have time between your days at the lake or afternoons in the shade, then you are going to greatly enjoy some of the activities we have listed below.

4th of July Fireworks

July 4th, Expo Idaho:  10:15 PM Gates open at 6:00 PM

There are few things as fun as watching fireworks on the 4th of July. This year, before your festivities are through, be sure to head on over to Expo Idaho to see the firework show the City of Boise puts on. Granted, you could probably watch these fireworks from anywhere in the valley because of how large the show is.

However, the fun doesn’t stop there, food and adult beverage vendors will be on site to provide you with some of the best fares Boise has to offer. So, be sure to bring your wallet and an empty stomach with you to watch the fireworks.

This is a change of venue from years past. Usually, the fireworks are launched from Ann Morrison Park, but with the river the way it is, the city has decided to play it safe and move everything to the expo.

Idaho Shakespeare Festival’s “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”

July 4 – 5, 8 – 9, 13 – 14, 18 – 19, 22 – 23, 27 – 28, ISF Amphitheater

The Hunchback of Notre Dame is one of Victor Hugo’s most well-known stories, and there are fewer renditions of it as gripping as the 1996 film adaptation from Disney. If you were a fan of the movie, then you had best get your tickets today so you can enjoy all the songs and all the action of the Disney version on stage right here in Boise.

Tickets range in price and can be different depending on when you want to go, so be sure to get them soon to get the perfect seat.
