Dia de los Muertos “Day of the Dead” Celebration

Craft and Chocolate Affaire

What better way to spend your time perusing crafts from over 100 artisans while enjoying chocolate treats? If you enjoy homemade items, there will be lots to choose from including ornaments, blankets, pet clothes, jewelry, soaps, home decor and more! There will also be the chocolate including fudge, macaroons, pie, cake, truffles and more. On November 5, Santa will be there so make sure you bring the kids and your camera to capture some memories.

Multi-Day Sewing Spectacular

November 9 – December 7, 2022

Learn about the basics of using a sewing machine and create some fun take homes for the holiday. There is a small $20 fee for this class. Ages 10-13. Learn the great art of sewing and have fun.

Family Second Saturday: Native American Heritage Month

The foundation of Idaho’s culture is its Indigenous tribes. November is Native American Heritage month. November is Native American Heritage month. Come join the Idaho State Museum and Darren Parry, Former Chairman of the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation, to learn more about Indigenous culture in Idaho at the November Family Second Saturday event. Darren will lead story times with stories he wrote at 1pm and 2pm, and activities will run from 12-3pm. All ages are welcome, and the event is free with Museum admission.


Kids Discovery Expo

Festival of Trees

Back in person! Saint Alphonsus is excited to bring back the magic of the Festival of Trees. Mark your calendars for November 22 (Gala), November 23-27 (General Exhibition) and November 28 (Fashion Show.) There will be lots to do and see with the Lego display, Santa, entertainment on stages, North Pole village, art contests, the fabulous trees to see and more! 100% of net proceeds from the 2022 Festival of Trees will fund priority capital projects at Saint Alphonsus with the focus on our new Neuro Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit, the FIRST and ONLY critical care unit in Idaho that has board-certified and fellowship-trained neuro critical care physicians.

2022 marks the 11th year that the event benefits both the Boise Rescue Mission and local Special Olympics teams. As Boise continues to grow, so does the need for the services these organizations provide. Just by showing up, you are already helping contribute to these great organizations – but you can do more: bring extra canned food, make a donation directly to these groups, or better yet, donate a few hours of your time volunteering with them and you’ll both be rewarded.
